      The Allen-Bradley 1784-PKTX is a network interface cards that directly mounts to a Peripheral Connect Interconnect (PCI) port of a personal computer. This card supports PCI bus version 2.3 and allows the host computer to connect to a Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO) or DH-485 communication network. This card may be used to interface with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for implementing process visualization.

      Use PCI technology to interface your PC or PC-basedcontroller to Data Highway Plus™, Data Highway485 or remote I/O networks with Allen-Bradley’s1784-PKTx family. This family of PCI interfacecards leverages PCI and plug and play technology.All three cards allow for the automation of basememory addresses and interrupt requests.

      The 1784-PKTXD is functionally identical to the PKTX but includes a second, independent channel. This allows the user to act as a DH+ master while simultaneously monitoring a Remote I/O network on one card, or connecting to two separate DH+ networks.
      The 1784-KTX is the older ISA-bus version of the card. The KTX card is considered legacy and requires a motherboard with ISA slots. The PKTX is the direct successor, providing the same functionality on a PCI bus
      The 1784-PCMK is a PCMCIA (laptop) card designed for the same networks (DH+/RIO), whereas the PKTX is for desktop PCI slots.
