REF542 PLUS Multifunction protection and switchbay control unit
ABB REF542 PLUS is a multifunction feeder terminal that combines electrical measurement, protection, switchbay control and self-diagnostics. Its programmable configuration supports medium-voltage distribution and industrial power networks, with hardware and software options selected to suit the protected circuit.
The platform handles up to eight analog measurement channels and uses the same inputs for measurement and protection. It records events and fault data and interfaces with an external HMI. Current/voltage transformers, sensors, binary I/O boards and station-communication options are selected through the full type code, so the general REF542 PLUS designation covers several hardware configurations.
