Compact machine control with embedded and POINT I/O
Allen-Bradley 1769-L16ER-BB1B is a CompactLogix 5370 L1 controller with 384 KB of user memory, sixteen sinking inputs and sixteen sourcing outputs. Its POINTBus architecture supports up to six local POINT I/O expansion modules within the documented system limits.
Two Ethernet ports support Device Level Ring networking with up to four EtherNet/IP nodes. Before installation or replacement, identify the controller series, verify the external power and field-power arrangements, and preserve the approved application, network settings and local I/O configuration.

The L16 uses a POINTBus backplane and supports up to six local 1734 POINT I/O modules. Do not substitute the local expansion arrangement of a CompactLogix L2 or L3 controller. -
