Description
The B&R X20CP1485-1 is a high-performance PLC CPU module for the X20 Automation System, for demanding industrial applications requiring short PLC cycle times, high-speed data processing, and floating-point calculations. It is powered by an Intel® Celeron® 400 MHz processor with an additional dedicated I/O processor, enabling deterministic control and fast execution of automation tasks.
The B&R X20CP1485-1 integrates Ethernet, POWERLINK, RS232, dual USB ports, and an X2X Link interface while providing one modular interface expansion slot. The CPU supports CompactFlash removable application memory, features a fanless design, and is fully compatible with Automation Studio for programming and diagnostics

The integrated power supply on the X20CP1485-1 feeds the CPU, X2X Link, and internal I/O supply from a 24 VDC input. The CPU/X2X Link supply is electrically isolated from the I/O supply. The X2X Link output on the X20CP1485-1 delivers 7 W nominal power and supports parallel connection for redundancy. Reverse polarity protection is built into the CPU/X2X Link input. The I/O power output provides 24 VDC with a permissible contact load of 10 A. Power consumption of the X20CP1485-1 without memory card, interface module, or USB is 10.5 W.
The X20CP1485-1 is a fan-free design, making it suitable for environments where maintenance-free operation is required. An overtemperature shut-off triggers at 100°C to prevent hardware damage. Status LEDs on the X20CP1485-1 indicate CPU function, overtemperature, Ethernet activity, POWERLINK status, CompactFlash access, battery condition, module run/error state, overload, and RS232 data transfer.

Mount the Bus Module: Snap the underlying X20 bus module onto the standard EN 50022 DIN rail. Slide it horizontally to link with adjacent X20 modules via the side-integrated X2X Link bus contacts.
