The B&R X20CP1486 features an Intel Celeron 650 processor with 256 kB L2 cache and 2×16 kB L1 cache for data and program code, delivering powerful computational performance for complex automation applications. The B&R X20CP1486 also includes an additional integrated I/O processor that processes I/O data points in the background, ensuring efficient data handling without impacting main CPU performance.

The X20CP1486 operates from 24 V DC (–15% / +20%) with a maximum input current of 2.2 A, and includes reverse polarity protection and an integrated non-replaceable fuse. It supplies 7.0 W to the X2X Link bus for powering downstream I/O slices, with support for parallel and redundant operation of the X2X Link supply to enhance system availability. An independent I/O power supply output delivers 24 V DC with a permitted contact load of 10.0 A, capable of driving substantial actuator loads directly from the CPU module. Prepare Node Address Switches: Locate the two rotary address switches on the underlying base module. Use a flathead screwdriver to rotate both switches to their default positions (typically 0), aligning one arrow to 12:00 and the other to 9:00.
