The ISOMETER® of the IRDH275 series is designed to monitor the insulation resistance ofunearthed main circuits (IT systems) AC, AC/DC 0…793 V resp. DC 0…650 V. The AMPPlusmeasurement method meets the particular requirements of modern power supplieswhich often include rectifiers, converters, thyristor-controlled DC drives and directly connectedDC components. In these systems often high leakage capacitances against earth occurdue to interference suppression measures. The IRDH275 automatically adapts itself to theexisting system conditions.

In combination with a coupling device, the devices can also be used for higher voltages.An external supply voltage allows de-energised systems to be monitored too. For doormounting into distribution panels, refer to type IRDH375

The BENDER IRDH275B-435 uses the patented AMPPlus measurement method to monitor insulation resistance while automatically adapting to the existing system leakage capacitance. This makes the device suitable for IT systems with relatively high leakage capacitances, including systems containing power electronic equipment and interference-suppression components.

The BENDER IRDH275B-435 provides two separately adjustable response values from 1 kΩ to 10 MΩ. When the insulation resistance falls below a configured response value, the corresponding alarm function is activated. Two alarm relays allow different alarm levels, such as prewarning and alarm, to be distinguished.

When the insulation resistance between the system conductors and earth falls below theset response value, the alarm relays switch and the alarm LEDs light up. Two separatelyadjustable alarm relays allow to distinguish between prewarning and alarm. The measuredvalue is indicated on the LC display or an externally connectable measuring instrument.In this way any changes, for example when circuits are connected to the system, can berecognised easily. The fault message can be stored. The fault memory can be reset bypressing the reset button. By pressing the test button, the function of the device as wellas the connections to system and earth can be tested.
