Features:

  • Armored and Unarmored Options
  • Multiple Connector Options
  • Complete Interchangeability of Units and Cabling
The system provides an output voltage that is directlyproportional to the distance between the probe tip and theobserved conductive surface and can measure both static(position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’sprimary applications are vibration and positionmeasurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well asKeyphasor reference and speed measurements. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advancedperformance in our eddy current proximity transducersystems.

The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system alsofully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API)670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mmproximity transducer systems provide this level ofperformance and support complete interchangeability ofprobes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminatingthe need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

The 330101-00-15-10-02-05 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component isbackward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer systemcomponents5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mmprobe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too largefor the available mounting space.
The 3300 XL probe and extension cable alsoreflect improvements over previous designs. Apatented TipLoc molding method provides amore robust bond between the probe tip andthe probe body. The probe’s cable incorporatesa patented CableLoc design that provides 330N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attachthe probe cable and probe tip.You can also order 3300 XL 8 mm probes andextension cables with an optional FluidLoccable option. This option prevents oil and otherliquids from leaking out of the machine throughthe cable’s interior.
  • Gas Turbines: Used in large units (200MW+) to monitor shaft vibration and thrust
  • Steam Turbines: Monitors differential expansion and bearing housing performance
  • Hydroelectric Plants: Tracks rotor movement and vibration in turbine generators
  • Centrifugal & Process Gas Compressors: Ideal for high-speed compressors in refinery and pipeline operations
  • Pumps: Monitors critical feed and process pumps to prevent mechanical seal or bearing failure
  • Electric Motors: Large industrial motors used in mining, pulp and paper, or water treatment
  • Gearboxes: Monitors shaft alignment and vibration in heavy-duty gear systems
This content has been produced using multiple sources.Amikon takes no responsibility for the accuracy of this information. Always consult the original equipment manufacturer for the most up to date instructions and information.
Target Material: Ensure the shaft is AISI 4140 steel, as the system is calibrated to this material by default.
Recommended Gap: For radial vibration, the standard gap is 1.27 mm (50 mils), which should correspond to a DC voltage of approximately -9 Vdc.
Linear Range: The probe operates linearly from 0.25 to 2.3 mm (10 to 90 mils).
Mounting Clearances: Maintain a side-view clearance (counterbore) of at least 13 mm (0.5 in) to prevent interference from the housing wall.

FAQs

  • What is 330101-00-15-10-02-05?+
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-15-10-02-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe designed for high-accuracy vibration and position monitoring in industrial machinery.
  • What is the function of this probe 330101-00-15-10-02-05?+
It is used to measure the displacement, vibration, and position of shafts, and is commonly used to monitor the health of rotating machinery such as turbines, pumps, and motors.
  • What is the difference between 3300 and 3300 XL probes?+
The 3300 XL probe is electrically and physically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 series 5mm and 8mm probes, but the XL version offers improved RFI/EMI immunity and a more rugged design with a thicker PPS plastic encapsulation, allowing installation without special shielded conduit.
  • What is the normal gap voltage of this probe?+
When the gap is correct and the probe axis is centered within its linear range, the normal gap voltage range is approximately -9 V to -11 V DC.
  • How do I install the ClickLoc™ connector?+
The ClickLoc™ connectors are designed for simple installation and only require finger-tight torque (they will "click" or firmly lock), ensuring a secure connection without needing special tools
