Description

The Bently Nevada 330103-00-16-50-12-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe featuring an M10 × 1 metric threaded housing, 160 mm overall case length, and a 5-meter FluidLoc cable without external armor. It is for use with the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System, where it operates together with a compatible extension cable and Proximitor® Sensor to provide precise non-contact measurement of shaft displacement and vibration on rotating machinery. 

The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

The FluidLoc cable option prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable interior. This is suitable for applications where fluid ingress or egress through the probe cable is a concern, such as in oil-lubricated bearing housings or submerged environments. The FluidLoc cable has a maximum outer diameter of 3.94 mm (0.155 in).
The PPS probe tip and AISI 303/304 stainless steel case provide corrosion resistance in industrial environments. The patented TipLoc molding method ensures a robust bond between the probe tip and body. The CableLoc design provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength between the probe cable and probe tip. The probe is fully interchangeable with other 3300 XL 8 mm system components and backward compatible with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. The ClickLoc connector provides a secure, tool-free connection to the extension cable or Proximitor sensor.
