The BENTLY NEVADA 330104-04-09-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a non-contact eddy-current probe for use with the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. The system measures the distance between the probe tip and a conductive machine target and can be used for both static position measurements and dynamic vibration measurements.
The system provides an output voltage that is directlyproportional to the distance between the probe tip and theobserved conductive surface and can measure both static(position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system alsofully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API)670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range,accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mmproximity transducer systems provide this level ofperformance and support complete interchangeability ofprobes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminatingthe need to match or bench calibrate individual components

The 330104-04-09-10-01-05 is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5mm and 8mm transducer system components. The 330104-04-09-10-01-05 features a patented TipLoc molding method that provides a more robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body, and incorporates a patented CableLoc design that provides 330N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attach the probe cable and probe body.
The 330104-04-09-10-01-05 is equipped with corrosion-resistant, gold-plated ClickLoc connectors with a connector protector already installed, requiring only finger-tight torque and utilizing a specially-engineered locking mechanism that prevents the connectors from loosening. The 330104-04-09-10-01-05 carries CSA, ATEX, and IECEx agency approvals, and is configured with a 40 mm unthreaded length, 90 mm overall case length, and 1.0 meter total cable length with standard cable and armor protection.

+Yes, the loop allows hardware substitution, but uncoupling the coaxial connector breaks the RF carrier wave and triggers an immediate Transducer Fault (NOT OK) flag on the monitor. -

+No, the internal coil properties and electrical length optimization of the 3300 XL series do not match older 7200 models. -
Can I connect this 1-meter probe directly to a Proximitor sensor without an extension cable?
+No. Standard Bently Nevada 5-meter or 9-meter Proximitor systems require an exact electrical match. Since this probe has a 1.0-meter total length, it must be paired with a 4.0-meter extension cable (such as model 330130) to create a standard 5-meter loop. Altering the total design loop length changes the internal tuning parameters and causes calibration failure. -
What target material is this system calibrated to out of the box?
+By default, the probe and sensor system are precision-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your target rotor or machine shaft is constructed from a different material (such as stainless steel or aluminum), the system output will change, requiring a specialized sensor calibration from Bently Nevada.
