Features:

  • Four Separate Measurements in One Assembly
  • Integrated Proximity and Velocity Transducers
  • Optimal Mounting on Mechanically Referenced Bearing Housing
  • X-Y Configuration for Complete Diagnostics
  • Optional Probe Support/Oil Sleeve
The Dual Probe Transducer System consists of a proximity probe and a seismicor Velomitor* transducer installed at approximately the same point in a commontransducer housing. This transducer system is capable of making four separatemeasurements:Shaft relative radial position (displacement) relative to the probe mountinglocation, measured by the proximity probe;Shaft relative radial dynamic motion (vibration) relative to the probe mountinglocation, measured by the proximity probe;Machine casing absolute vibration measured by the seismic vibration; andShaft absolute motion represented by the summation of the seismic signal (afterintegration to displacement) and the shaft relative displacement.

The Dual Probe Transducer System provides the best measurement data whentransducer housing is mounted on a portion of the bearing housing or cover thatis mechanically referenced to the bearing. For complete machinery monitoring diagnostics using orbit analysis and shaftcenterline position information, two Dual Probe assemblies in an X-Yconfiguration are required per radial bearing.

The 26530-12-10-03-018-085-24-03-00 Bently Nevada Dual Probe Transducer System may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Verify that the probe tip and target shaft area are free of scratches, burrs, or mechanical damage.Ensure the target area on the shaft has a finish of 0.8 µm (32 µin) rms or smoother to reduce mechanical runout.Confirm the mounting hole on the bearing housing matches the 3/4-14 NPT thread specifications.

FAQs

  • What is the Bently Nevada 26530-12-10-03-018-085-24-03-00?+
The Bently Nevada 26530-12-10-03-018-085-24-03-00 is a highly specific Dual Probe Transducer System.
  • Why is Shaft Absolute better than Shaft Relative?+
If a bearing housing vibrates heavily, a standard relative probe might underestimate the total motion of the shaft. By adding the casing's velocity back into the measurement, the Dual Probe gives you the true absolute value of the shaft's movement.
  • Can I replace the internal velocity sensor (Velomitor) by itself?+
While theoretically modular, it is highly recommended to replace the entire 26530 assembly. This ensures that the mechanical alignment and seal integrity remain intact, keeping your system properly calibrated.
  • Is the penetration depth adjustable in the field?+
No, the penetration depth is a fixed parameter built into the part number (e.g., -085 denotes 8.5 inches) and cannot be adjusted on-sit
  • What exactly does this system measure?+
It collects four data points simultaneously: shaft relative radial position, shaft relative vibration, machine casing absolute vibration, and shaft absolute motion (achieved by combining the integrated velocity signal with the proximity signal).
