The Bently Nevada 330901-00-12-10-02-05 is a 3300NSv Proximity Probe with 1/4-28 UNF thread and without armor, as a core component of the 3300XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The 330901-00-12-10-02-05 is intended for use with centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machines with tight installation requirements. The primary uses for the 330901 are for areas where counter bore, side view, or rear view restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300XL 5mm and 8mm Transducer Systems.
The 330901-00-12-10-02-05 is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51mm (2in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15mm (0.6in). The 330901-00-12-10-02-05 is primarily used in the following applications on fluid-filmed bearing machines where a small shaft or reduced side-view is present: radial vibration and radial position measurements, axial (thrust) position measurements, tachometer and zero speed measurements, and phase reference (Keyphasor signals).

This probe features a 1/4-28 UNF imperial mounting thread with a 0.0-inch unthreaded length and an overall case length of 1.2 inches (30.48 mm). The probe tip diameter is 5.0 mm, constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), while the probe case is made from AISI 303 or 304 stainless steel. This variant is supplied without armor.

The 3300 XL NSv system delivers an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The linear range is 1.5 mm (60 mils), spanning from approximately 0.25 mm to 1.75 mm, with an output voltage range of approximately -1 Vdc to -17 Vdc. The Average Scale Factor (ASF) is 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) with a ±5% tolerance (including interchangeability error) from 0°C to +45°C. The recommended radial vibration gap setting is -9 Vdc, corresponding to approximately 1.14 mm (45 mils).
The nominal DC resistance for the 1.0-metre probe is 7.59 ± 0.50 Ω. The probe operates over a temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) and maintains humidity tolerance with less than 3% ASF change after 56 days of 93% relative humidity exposure. The probe tip-to-case seal uses a Viton® O-ring; probes are not pressure tested prior to shipment.
