The motherboard is based on the Intel G41 Express chipset with Intel I/O Controller Hub 7 (ICH7). It accepts LGA 775 socket processors including Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400, Core 2 Duo E8400/E7400/E6400/E4300, Pentium E6500/E5300/E2160, and Celeron E3400/E1500/440. The Front Side Bus supports 1333/1066/800 MHz. Intel Enhanced Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) are supported.
Memory consists of two 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting 800/1066 MHz unbuffered x8 and x16 DIMMs in dual-channel configuration, with a maximum capacity of 4 GB and maximum bandwidth of 17 GB/s using DDR3 1066 MHz.

One slot is shared and configurable as either PCI or ISA, allowing 5 PCI + 2 ISA or 4 PCI + 3 ISA configurations. The ISA slots are bridged via an ITE IT8888G PCI-to-ISA bridge.
