The module converts AC input to a regulated DC link output of 283–325 V DC, supplying main power to servo amplifier modules (SVM) and spindle amplifier modules (SPM) in CNC machine tool applications. It features regenerative power return capability, returning deceleration energy to the power supply rather than dissipating it through resistors. The rated output power is 55 kW, with a maximum output capability of 104 kW and peak output capability of 174 kW for short-duration demands.

Input current at 200 V AC is 196 A. The power source capacity requirement is 79 kVA for the main circuit and 0.7 kVA for the control circuit. The module requires an external AC reactor (A81L-0001-0133) and appropriate line protection fuses. When the input voltage is outside the 200–240 V AC range, an isolation transformer is required.
It requires forced air cooling with an air flow of 2 m/s or more. Total heat dissipation is 921 W, with 93 W residual heat remaining in the cabinet under forced air cooling conditions. The module does not achieve adequate cooling through natural ventilation alone.
Built-in protection includes DC link undervoltage and overvoltage alarms, monitored via check terminals on the printed circuit board (IR for phase L1/R current, IS for phase L2/S current, +24V, +5V, 0V for control power). A red charging LED indicates when hazardous voltages are present in the DC link capacitors. The current measurement scale at the check terminals is 150 A per 1 V.
