The IC600LX624 module is a 16K logic or 8K register module by GE Fanuc. It is part of the GE Series Six product family. This combined memory module has different components. It has the GE Series Six central processor unit, internal registers, and user memory. A parity memory is included for each of the memory types. A CMOS powered RAM is also present in the memory module. This RAM is used as backup memory when there is a power failure. It is housed on the main circuit board along with voltage level checking circuitry. The CMOS battery is a lithium manganese dioxide battery and it has a long life. The front side of the memory module has LED indicators that show the condition of the battery and the parity error checker. The battery LED illuminates when there is enough power stored in the battery backup. The “battery level low” indicator is present in the module to alert the operators so they can change the battery in time to protect the memory contents. The “parity” LED shows if there are any parity errors. The parity errors are displayed on the computer screen of the Workmaster terminal.
