The IC697BEM711 is a Bus Expansion module that is part of the Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller (PAC) series formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation, now under Emerson Automation. This module has Two (2) communication interfaces with port 1 used as an expansion port for establishing a connection to the CPU or other BEM 711 and BEM 713 with a maximum cable length of 50 feet. The other port is used as an expansion port out for connecting to expansion racks or other BEM 711 modules. This expansion rack supports the installation of up to Seven )7) expansion racks.
Hold Last State: In the event of a total loss of communication between the expansion rack and the CPU, this module supports "hold last state" operation. This ensures that output modules maintain their current value rather than defaulting to an unsafe state
Optical Isolation: This module utilizes optical isolation between the logic and field circuits. This feature safeguards the internal PLC electronics against electrical noise and high-voltage surges common in industrial settings.
