The GE IS200STCIH2AED Simplex Contact Input Terminal Board is a compact field interface module developed for the Mark VIe and Mark VIeS turbine control platforms. It accepts 24 dry contact inputs from switches, relays, and other field devices operating with 24 VDC, 48 VDC, or 125 VDC excitation supplied by an external source. The board conditions and filters these signals before passing them to a compatible PDIA I/O Pack, which converts the inputs to digital data and transmits them to the controller over Ethernet.
Designed specifically for simplex control architectures, the IS200STCIH2AED incorporates surge suppression, high-frequency noise filtering, and resettable current protection to ensure dependable operation in harsh industrial environments. Its DIN-rail or flat-panel mounting options and pluggable terminal blocks simplify installation and maintenance in gas turbines, steam turbines, and balance-of-plant control systems.

The threshold voltage is 50% of the excitation voltage.The figure shows the contact sensing circuits. Contact input currents are limited to 2.5 mA on the first 21 circuits and 10 mA on circuits 22 through 24.
