Description
The IS220PTCCH1A is a Thermocouple Input Module manufactured by General Electric for the Mark VI and Mark VIe Speedtronic turbine control systems. The IS220PTCCH1A provides the electrical interface between one or two I/O Ethernet networks and a thermocouple input terminal board, enabling precise temperature monitoring and control in gas, hydro, and steam industrial turbine applications.
The IS220PTCCH1A supports up to 12 thermocouple input channels per pack. When using two IS220PTCCH1A packs, the system can handle up to 24 thermocouple inputs. For Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) configurations, three IS220PTCCH1A packs are used to provide maximum reliability and fault tolerance. The IS220PTCCH1A is compatible with standard thermocouple types E, J, K, S, and T, as well as mV inputs ranging from -8 mV to +45 mV. Both grounded and ungrounded thermocouple configurations are supported by the IS220PTCCH1A.

For network communication, the IS220PTCCH1A features dual independent RJ45 Ethernet ports for connection to the I/O Ethernet network. The IS220PTCCH1A also includes an infrared serial communication port for local diagnostics and status indication through multiple LED indicators. Data transmission between the IS220PTCCH1A and the controller is accomplished via the dual Ethernet connectors, with field devices connected through a DC-37 pin connector that interfaces directly with the associated terminal board.

The GE IS220PTCCH1A Thermocouple Input Module is a high-density temperature acquisition module used in the GE Mark VIe turbine control platform. It combines a BPPx processor board with a thermocouple acquisition board to collect, process, and transmit temperature signals from field thermocouples. The module supports 12 thermocouple input channels, accepts E, J, K, S, and T type thermocouples, and also supports -8 mV to +45 mV millivolt inputs.
The module provides integrated cold junction compensation, 16-bit signal conversion, input diagnostics, and dual Ethernet IONet communication. It is compatible with GE Mark VIe turbine control architectures including simplex, duplex, and TMR configurations.
