The network capabilities of this module include support for Ethernet connections, enabling seamless integration into networked environments. It provides up to 32 Kbits of available discrete I/O points, ensuring flexible configuration for various system needs. The embedded communications feature allows for both Serial and Ethernet connections, giving users multiple options for data transmission.
Various protocols are supported to facilitate communication within industrial networks, including Modbus RTU Slave and SNP, ensuring compatibility with existing systems. Built-in connectivity includes two serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485) and a single Ethernet port that automatically adjusts between 10 and 100 Mbps via an RJ45 interface.
Two-out-of-Three (2oo3) Voting: In Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) configurations, the board uses nine relays organized into three groups. These groups "vote" on trip signals to ensure a single component failure does not cause a false trip or prevent a valid trip.
Galvanic & Signal Isolation: Features twelve on-board isolation transformers to separate power and signal paths, protecting the control logic from electrical noise or surges in the solenoid circuits.
Current & Voltage Suppression: Includes Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) and specialized resistors to suppress electrical spikes and protect the relay contacts from damage during operation.
