The C7027, C7035, and C7044 ultraviolet radiationsensing tubes have a life expectancy of 40,000 hoursof continuous use within the flame detector's specifiedambient temperature and voltage ratings. When anultraviolet radiation sensing tube wears out, the UVsensor will fail to properly discriminate between flameconditions.The C7027A, C7035A, C7044A and C7927 FlameDetectors should only be used on burners that cycleon/off or, in the absence of cycling, are periodicallychecked for proper operation following the applicationinstructions provided by the equipment manufacturer.Recommended industry standards for the frequencyof sensor checks, either through cycling (employingsafe-start check methods) or periodic maintenance. Ifuncertain, industry guidelines suggest one burnercycle in a 24-hour period.Consult the equipment manufacturer or the governingstandard for recommendations about frequency ofchecks.
