The IC693PWR330 is a High-capacity power supply module that is part of the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) product family. Compared to standard power supplies, the IC693PWR330 high-capacity power supply module is permits consumption of all the 30 Watts load capacity to the +5VDC output. This allows the power supply to be used in application where the +5VDC requires higher current capacity, typically, in larger 90-30 PLC rack. This power supply can only be installed in the left most slot of the rack. It is mainly used to provide backplane power, to enable modules that are attached to the backplane.
This protection mechanism is designed to shield the internal circuitry from voltage spikes.
Threshold: For the 5 VDC output, overvoltage protection is triggered between 6.4 to 7 Volts.
Hardware Control: The protection devices are internally connected to pin 4 on the user terminal strip.
