The 3624 implements Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) at the module level. Each of the three independent channels receives digital output commands from the three Tricon Main Processors over the triplicated I/O bus. The channel outputs are then voted by quadruplicated power transistor circuitry to produce a single, highly reliable output signal to the field device.
