Is it backwards compatible with the older MVI56-MCM?+Yes. The MVI56E-MCMXT is designed as a drop-in replacement. For most applications, you can replace a legacy module by transferring the configuration through the PLC ladder logic

What does the XT stand for?+"XT" refers to the Extended Temperature version. It features conformal coating to protect against harsh or caustic conditions and can operate in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C (-13°F to 158°F), compared to the standard model's 0°C to 60°C range.

Do the serial ports have electrical isolation?+The two application serial ports provide 1000 volts of electrical isolation between the port and the ControlLogix backplane. However, there is no isolation between the ports themselves or between the debug/configuration port and the module's internal circuitry
