The Reliance Electric 57C443A is an AutoMax remote I/O scanner with adaptor mode. It links an AutoMax control rack with devices on an Allen-Bradley Remote I/O network through a dedicated twin-axial communications channel.
The scanner supports three documented network rates and rack distances, addresses up to thirty-two remote racks and draws 0.65 A from the 5 V backplane. Local indication and diagnostics must be checked together with the rack address, cable, termination and I/O map before service release.
