The Schleicher USP2I is a specialized CPU Slave Positioning Module designed for 2-axis control within industrial PLC and CNC automation systems. It is often integrated into Schleicher’s legacy control systems.
The Schleicher USP2I (and its variants like the USP 2I AD/AC) includes integrated hardware and software protection mechanisms designed to prevent machine damage and ensure reliable positioning for its 2 axes. These functions are typical of the Promodul-U series motion controllers.
Following Error Monitoring (Lag Error): The USP2I compares the commanded position with the actual feedback from the encoders. If the deviation exceeds a programmable threshold, the module triggers a fault to stop the axis.
