6GK5408-0GA00-8AP2 Gigabit Ethernet port extender
Siemens 6GK5408-0GA00-8AP2 is the SCALANCE PE408 port extender for compatible XM-400 Industrial Ethernet switches. It adds eight Gigabit-capable copper ports to an expandable network node used in industrial manufacturing and process communication.
The module has eight RJ45 sockets and two extender interfaces, with hot-swappable port-module operation supported by the compatible host. Link rates of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s accommodate different Ethernet devices. The IP20 construction operates from -40 to +70 ℃, with switch configuration and complete network functions determined by the host assembly.
