Siemens 6SL3100-1AE31-0AB1 is a booksize braking module for the SINAMICS S120 drive system. It provides the interface to an external braking resistor for dissipating regenerative energy when the configured drive requires resistive braking.
The module operates on a 510 to 720 V DC link and has a 770 V activation threshold. Its specified braking ratings are 1.5 kW nominal and 100 kW maximum, subject to the manufacturer duty conditions.
