A rack with oneRPS6U power supply (330 W version) supports thepower requirements for a full rack of modules(cards) in applications with operatingtemperatures up to 50°C (122°F).Alternatively, a rack can have two RPS6U powersupplies installed in order to either support rackpower supply redundancy or in order to supplypower to the modules (cards) non-redundantlyover a wider range of environmental conditions.A VM600Mk2/VM600 ABE04x system rack with twoRPS6U power supplies installed can operateredundantly (that is, with rack power supplyredundancy) for a full rack of modules (cards).This means that if one RPS6U fails, the other willprovide 100% of the rack’s power requirement sothat the rack will continue to operate, therebyincreasing the availability of the machinerymonitoring system.
