Description
The ABB ZCU-14 3AXD50000005164 is an external control unit for the ACS880 series of industrial drives. It consists of an I/O board integrated into a plastic housing and serves as the primary control and communication interface for ACS880-14 single drive module packages, ACS880-307 diode supply units, and various ACS880 inverter module configurations.
The unit can be mounted directly onto the drive or inverter module, or installed separately depending on the cabinet layout. It receives 24 V DC power through the XPOW terminal block at 2 A minimum. Redundant power supply connections are supported for critical applications. The +24 V output (XD24) provides auxiliary power for external digital inputs with a total capacity of 4.8 W (200 mA), minus any current drawn by DIO1 and DIO2.
The ZCU-14 features two analog inputs (AI1, AI2) with selectable current or voltage mode via onboard jumpers, and two analog outputs (AO1, AO2) for process value feedback. Six digital inputs (DI1...DI6) and one digital interlock input (DIIL) accept 24 V logic signals, while two configurable digital input/output channels (DIO1, DIO2) provide flexibility for pulse frequency input/output applications. Three relay outputs (RO1, RO2, RO3) with NC/COM/NO contacts deliver status indication and control signals at up to 250 V AC / 30 V DC, 2 A.

The Safe Torque Off (XSTO) connection accepts −3...30 V DC signals and provides safe shutdown functionality.
