Description
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 provides 32 discrete DC input channels for monitoring field devices and digital control signals within a ControlLogix automation system. Its input voltage range of 10–30 V DC makes it suitable for common industrial DC control circuits, including nominal 24 V DC applications.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 is configured as a sourcing input module and provides 250 V continuous isolation between groups of 16 inputs. This two-group isolation arrangement helps separate input groups within the ControlLogix I/O architecture.

Select termination: Use a compatible 36-pin Removable Terminal Block (RTB like 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH) or a Bulletin 1492 Interface Module (IFM).
Apply keying: Insert the U-shaped keying bands on the module and wedge-shaped tabs on the RTB to prevent wrong connections.
Connect DC power: Wire the 12/24V DC sourcing inputs starting from the bottom terminals and move up. Note that DC+ power common connections go to designated DC power terminals (such as DC-0 and DC-1 group terminals) per the module layout.
Mount the RTB: Cover the wired terminals with the removable housing, swing the RTB up against the front of the 1756-IV32 module, and push it until it clicks and locks into place.
