Description

The 2094-BM01-M Axis (power) Modules are shared DC-bus inverters rated for 400V-class input power, designed as integral components of the Kinetix 6200 and Kinetix 6500 modular multi-axis servo drive systems. The 2094-BM01-M series provides flexible and scalable axis power solutions, with each module requiring one control module and mandatory use with an IAM (Integrated Axis Module) power module to form a complete drive system.

The 2094-BMxx-M family includes five catalog numbers spanning a wide power range: the 2094-BMP5-M delivers 1.8 kW continuous output power with 2.8 A rms continuous current; the 2094-BM01-M provides 3.9 kW with 6.1 A rms; the 2094-BM02-M offers 6.6 kW with 10.3 A rms; the 2094-BM03-M delivers 13.5 kW with 21.2 A rms; and the 2094-BM05-M achieves 22.0 kW with 34.6 A rms continuous current. All models in the 2094-BM01-M series operate from a nominal 650V DC bus voltage and achieve up to 98% efficiency, ensuring minimal energy loss during power conversion.

Each 2094-BM01-M module incorporates an integrated internal shunt circuit for regenerative energy dissipation. The lower power  2094-BM01-M models (BMP5, BM01, BM02) utilize a 115 Ω internal shunt resistor with 50 W continuous and 5.6 kW peak power capability, while the higher power  2094-BM01-M models (BM03, BM05) employ a 28.75 Ω resistor with 200 W continuous and 22.5 kW peak power capability. The shunt activation threshold for the 2094-BMxx-M is set at 805V DC with deactivation at 765V DC, automatically managing excess DC bus energy during deceleration.

The Allen-Bradley 2094-BM01-M is a Kinetix 6200/6000 Multi-Axis Servo Drive Axis Module (AM) designed for modular multi-axis motion control applications. The Kinetix 6200 and Kinetix 6500 modular multi-axis servo drives provide a Kinetix Integrated Motion solution for drive/motor/actuator combinations, mounted on a common 2094-PRSx Power Rail. The system architecture consists of an IAM (Integrated Axis Module) Power Module with Bulletin 2094 Control Module as the first axis, plus up to five AM Power Modules (2094-BMxx-M) with Bulletin 2094 Control Modules for multi-axis expansion. The 2094-BM01-M is a 1.0 kW continuous / 2.0 kW peak axis module that provides servo control for a single axis of motion.
