The Bently Nevada 21000-28-05-15-50-03-02 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly is an all-metal aluminum housing for externally mounting proximity probes on industrial machinery. 21000 provides a robust, environmentally sealed enclosure that protects the proximity probe and its electrical connections while allowing precise positioning of the probe tip relative to the rotating shaft or target surface for accurate vibration and position measurement.
21000 is specifically designed for use with Bently Nevada proximity transducer systems including the 3300XL 8mm, 3300 5mm, 3300XL NSv, and 3300XL 11mm proximity probe families. 21000 houses a reverse mount proximity probe with 3/8-24 UNF threads, which is secured within the housing assembly and positioned so that the probe tip faces the target surface through the probe sleeve. The complete assembly of 21000 includes a dome cover that screws into the body of the housing, threaded ports for conduit connections, a probe sleeve of user-specified length, O-rings for sealing, a thread seal, and optional conduit fittings or standoff adapters.

21000-28-05-15-50-03-02 is available with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approvals for explosion-proof applications. The CA21000 versions of 21000 are certified by CSA for use in hazardous areas including Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D. For CA21000 housings, the mounting thread option F must be 02 (3/4-14 NPT), and options 02 and 03 for mounting threads have been machined to have approximately 5-7 full threads to increase mounting strength, rather than the standard NPT thread count. Only CA versions of 21000-28-05-15-50-03-02 are rated as explosion-proof by CSA when ordered with the E:00, E:01, E:02, or E:04 fitting options.
The probe sleeve length for 21000-28-05-15-50-03-02 is determined by the installation location and the distance from the mounting surface to the target surface. The probe lead must be longer than the sleeve length to ensure adequate cable routing within the housing.
