Description

The 3300/55 Dual Velocity Monitor provides two channels of continuous on-line machinery vibration monitoring. The monitor accepts inputs from one or two Velomitor@ transducers, High Temperature Velomitor Systems (HTVS), or Velocity Seismoprobe@ transducers without the need for interface modules.

Flexibility is designed into the Dual Velocity Monitor. Many user selectable options, such as high- and low-pass filter corner frequency options, can be easily (re)programmed in the field with plug-in jumpers.

Features:

  • Machinery Vibration Monitoring
  • Provides Two Channels
  • User-Selectable Options
The BENTLY NEVADA 3300/55-01-05-12-12-00-00-05-00 monitors vibration velocity on two independent machine locations simultaneously. Each channel independently conditions the transducer signal, measures vibration velocity, compares measured values with user-configurable alarm thresholds, and generates recorder outputs. Independent processing ensures reliable protection for multiple machine bearings or vibration measurement points.

The BENTLY NEVADA 3300/55-01-05-12-12-00-00-05-00 is configured with Input Option 05, supporting Bently Nevada Seismoprobe® velocity transducers. Option 12 specifies a 0–20 mm/s Peak full-scale measurement range for both Channel A and Channel B. This range is widely used for monitoring absolute bearing housing vibration on industrial rotating machinery where metric vibration measurements are preferred.

The 3300/55-01-05-12-12-00-00-05-00 Bently Nevada Dual Velocity Monitor may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The BENTLY NEVADA 3300/55-01-05-12-12-00-00-05-00 provides independent Alert and Danger alarms for each monitoring channel. Buffered outputs located on the front panel allow portable vibration analyzers to access the transducer signals without interrupting machine protection, while analog recorder outputs provide continuous vibration signals to DCS, PLC, SCADA, or other plant monitoring systems for long-term trend analysis.

The BENTLY NEVADA 3300/55-01-05-12-12-00-00-05-00 installs directly into a standard 3300 Machinery Protection System rack. Front-panel indicators display OK, Alert, Danger, and Bypass status, enabling operators to quickly evaluate equipment condition during operation. The monitor is commonly installed on steam turbines, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps, motors, generators, and large industrial fans requiring continuous vibration protection.
  • Turbines: Monitors steam/gas turbines in power generation plants
  • Compressors: Safeguards centrifugal, axial, and reciprocating compressors in oil/gas processing
  • Pumps & Fans: Tracks large fluid-handling pumps and ventilation systems
  • Generators & Motors: Detects shaft imbalances or bearing defects in heavy electric drives
  • Keyphasor Distribution: Buffers and distributes phase reference and speed tracking data

Front Panel: Use the front-panel coaxial connectors for direct channel signal testing or temporary data collection outputs.
Rear Panel Terminals: Connect field wiring from your velocity sensors (such as Velomitor sensors) to the rear terminal connections.
Channel Mapping: Attach sensor lead "A" to the corresponding channel terminal "A" and lead "B" to channel terminal "B" on the rear I/O assembly.
Shield Grounding: Ensure signal cable shields are grounded properly at one end to prevent electrical noise interference.
