The Bently Nevada 330105-02-12-05-12-05 is a high-precision proximity probe used primarily for monitoring vibration and position in industrial machinery. Hole Preparation: The probe uses 3/8-24 UNF threads. Prepare the mounting hole using a 0.332 in (Drill Size) and a Q (Tap Drill Size).
Reverse Mounting: Thread the probe into the machine case or a probe adapter. Note that the maximum thread engagement should not exceed 0.562 inches to prevent the tip from bottoming out.
Gapping: For standard AISI 4140 steel targets, the probe should be gapped at 1.27 mm (50 mils), which is the center of its linear range.
Tightening Torque: The recommended torque for the 3/8-24 probe case is 11.3 N·m (100 in·lb)
