The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system alsofully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API)670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range,accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mmproximity transducer systems provide this level ofperformance and support complete interchangeability ofprobes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminatingthe need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

The 3300 XL probe and extension cable alsoreflect improvements over previous designs. Apatented TipLoc molding method provides amore robust bond between the probe tip andthe probe body. The probe’s cable incorporatesa patented CableLoc design that provides 330N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attachthe probe cable and probe tip.
3300 XL8 mm components are bothelectrically and physically interchangeablewith non-XL 33005 mm and8 mmcomponents. Although the packaging of the3300 XL Proximitor Sensor differs from itspredecessor, its design fits in the same 4-holemounting pattern when used with the 4-holemounting base, and will fit within the samemounting space specifications (whenminimum permissible cable bend radius isobserved).
