The BENTLY NEVADA 330101-00-61-20-02-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe with a 3/8-24 UNF threaded body and non-armored standard cable. It is part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System and is to provide highly accurate non-contact measurement of shaft displacement and vibration for critical rotating machinery. This configuration features an extended 6.1-inch probe case, making it suitable for installations requiring deeper mounting locations.

The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system alsofully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API)670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range,accuracy, and temperature stability. The 330101 is equipped with corrosion-resistant, gold-plated ClickLoc connectors featuring a connector protector and standard cable. The specially-engineered locking mechanism of the 330101-00-61-20-02-05 prevents connectors from loosening, and installation requires only finger-tight torque with no special tools, resulting in lower installation costs and faster field wiring connections.

The probe is suitable for use in classified locations when installed per Bently Nevada drawing 141092 (intrinsic safety) or drawing 140979 (non-incendive/encapsulated). Temperature classifications are available from T1 through T5 depending on ambient conditions. The probe is fully interchangeable with other 3300 XL 8 mm system components and backward compatible with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. The ClickLoc connector provides a secure, tool-free connection to the extension cable or Proximitor sensor. The probe complies with API 670 Fourth Edition requirements for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
The 3300 XL probe and extension cable alsoreflect improvements over previous designs. Apatented TipLoc molding method provides amore robust bond between the probe tip andthe probe body. The probe’s cable incorporatesa patented CableLoc design that provides 330N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attachthe probe cable and probe tip.You can also order 3300 XL 8 mm probes andextension cables with an optional FluidLoccable option. This option prevents oil and otherliquids from leaking out of the machine throughthe cable’s interior.

Installation Torque: Recommended installation torque for the probe case is 11.2 N·m (100 in·lbf), with a maximum case torque limit of 33.9 N·m (300 in·lbf). For the first three threads, use a recommended value of 7.5 N·m (66 in·lbf).
Clearance and Gapping: Position the probe tip perpendicular to the observed conductive target (AISI 4140 steel). Set the initial mechanical gap using a multimeter to read the Proximitor sensor output voltage—typically gapped to 1.27 mm (50 mils), which correlates to a center-scale operation of roughly -10 Vdc to -12 Vdc.
