The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.

The FluidLoc cable option prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable interior. This is suitable for applications where fluid ingress or egress through the probe cable is a concern, such as in oil-lubricated bearing housings or submerged environments. The FluidLoc cable has a maximum outer diameter of 3.94 mm (0.155 in).
The probe is suitable for use in classified locations when installed per Bently Nevada drawing 141092 (intrinsic safety) or drawing 140979 (non-incendive/encapsulated). Temperature classifications are available from T1 through T5 depending on ambient conditions. The probe operates from –51°C to +177°C with standard cable construction.
The PPS probe tip and AISI 303/304 stainless steel case provide corrosion resistance in industrial environments. The patented TipLoc molding method ensures a robust bond between the probe tip and body. The CableLoc design provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength between the probe cable and probe tip.
