Description
The Bently Nevada 330905-00-18-05-02-00 is a 5 mm proximity probe from the 3300 NSv series. It features an M10 × 1 threaded stainless steel case with a 0 mm unthreaded section and a 180 mm overall case length. The probe carries a 0.5 meter integral coaxial cable terminated with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc® connector. The cable is standard FEP-insulated and supplied without armor.
The probe tip is 5 mm in diameter and constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The probe operates on an eddy-current principle, providing a non-contact measurement of shaft position and vibration in rotating machinery. When paired with a 3300 XL NSv extension cable and Proximitor® sensor, the system delivers a nominal sensitivity of 4.0 mV/µm (±0.5) across a 1.5 mm (60 mil) linear range, with an output of −1 to −13 Vdc.

The integrated 75-ohm triaxial cable is supplied without armor, offering greater flexibility for installations where additional mechanical protection is not required. The miniature ClickLoc™ connector provides secure attachment to compatible extension cables and simplifies maintenance and replacement procedures.
When used with a compatible 3300 NSv extension cable and NSv Proximitor sensor, the complete transducer system delivers a nominal sensitivity of 200 mV/mil (7.87 V/mm) and a linear measurement range of 60 mils (1.5 mm). The system is suitable for continuous machinery monitoring and protection applications across a wide range of industrial environments.

Maximum Torque: Do not exceed 3.4 N-m (30 in-lb) when tightening the 3/8-24 UNF threaded case. Over-torquing can structurally damage the internal coil and the probe tip assembly.
Thread Engagement: Ensure a minimum thread engagement equal to the diameter of the probe case to stabilize the sensor against high machine vibration.
Target Material: Ensure the probe is pointed at a ferrous target (typically AISI 4140 steel).
