The Bently Nevada 330909-00-60-10-0-00 is a 3300NSv Proximity Probe with 3/8-24 UNF thread and with armor, as a core component of the 3300XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The 330909-00-60-10-0-00 is intended for use with centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machines with tight installation requirements. The primary uses for the 330909-00-60-10-0-00 are for areas where counter bore, side view, or rear view restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300XL 5mm and 8mm Transducer Systems.
The 330909-00-60-10-0-00 is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51mm (2in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15mm (0.6in). The 330909-00-60-10-0-00 is primarily used in the following applications on fluid-filmed bearing machines where a small shaft or reduced side-view is present: radial vibration and radial position measurements, axial (thrust) position measurements, tachometer and zero speed measurements, and phase reference (Keyphasor signals).

The probe case of the 330909-00-60-10-02-00 is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, and the probe tip is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The patented TipLoc molding method on the 330909-00-60-10-02-00 provides a robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. The NSv probe has increased chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, which allows its use in many process compressor applications. The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also superior to those of the 3000-series 190 probe when gapping the probe at the same distance from the probe target.
When combined with a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and NSv extension cable, the 330909-00-60-10-02-00 provides an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The system using the 330909-00-60-10-02-00 can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data. The 330909-00-60-10-02-00 delivers a linear range of 1.0 mm (40 mils), beginning at approximately 0.2 mm from the target surface.
