The 4-Channel Relay Module is a full-height module that provides four relayoutputs. Any number of 4-Channel Relay Modules can be placed in any of theslots to the right of the Rack Interface Module. Each output of the 4-ChannelRelay Module can be independently programmed to perform needed votinglogic.

Each relay channel can be configured for Normally Energized or Normally De-energized operation. This provides flexibility for applications where the relay state during normal operation, alarm conditions, or loss of power must be coordinated with the external protection and control circuitry.
The relay contacts are rated for switching loads up to 5 A at 24 VDC or 120 VAC, with a maximum switching voltage of 30 VDC or 250 VAC. The relay contact life is specified at approximately 100,000 cycles at 5 A, 24 VDC or 120 VAC. A standard 250 Vrms arc suppressor is included.
The module includes front-panel status indicators. The OK LED indicates that the module is functioning correctly, the TX/RX LED indicates communication activity with other modules in the rack, and the CH ALARM LED indicates that the associated relay channel is in an alarm state. These indicators are useful for commissioning, maintenance, and system troubleshooting.

Prepare the Rack: Ensure the 3500 rack is powered on and the slot is configured via the software.
Install the Rear I/O Module: Align the rear I/O module (Part No. 125720-01) with the rear card guides of the backplane. Slide it in and firmly press until it is fully seated.
Secure I/O Module: Tighten the mounting screws to 0.5 to 0.6 Nm (4.4 to 5.3 lb-in).
Insert the Front Main Module: Slide the 125712-01 Main Module into the front card guides corresponding to the installed I/O module. Push firmly until the module is fully seated on the backplane bus.
