Description
The TK-3 Proximity System Test Kit simulates shaft vibrationand position for calibrating Bently Nevada monitors. It verifiesthe operating condition of the monitor readouts as well as thecondition of the proximity transducer system. A properlycalibrated system ensures that the transducer inputs and theresulting monitor readings are accurate.
The TK-3 uses a removable spindle micrometer assembly tocheck the transducer system and position
monitorcalibration. This assembly features a universal probe mountthat will accommodate probe diameters from 5 mm to 19mm (0.197 in to 0.75 in). The mount holds the probe while theuser moves the target toward or away from the probe tip incalibrated increments and records the output from theProximitor Sensor using a voltmeter. The spindle micrometerassembly also features a convenient magnetic base for easeof use in the field.

The test kit supports all Bently Nevada proximity transducer systems including the 3300, 3300 XL, 7200, and 1900 series. Standard calibration is performed with an AISI 4140 steel target, matching the factory calibration standard. Alternative target materials are available by special order for applications using different shaft materials.
Power is supplied by a switchable 115/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz power supply integrated into the test stand base. Power consumption is less than 50 W. The cast aluminum base includes vibration isolation feet to minimize external vibration interference during calibration.
