The IC693CMM321 feature a variety of communication to perform different tasks. This module has One (1) RS-232, RJ-11 Serial Port acting as the Station Manager Port, One (1) RS-485, 15-pin, D-type Serial Port used as Software Loader Port and One (1) AAUI Port that is used as Network Port for connecting the module to the Ethernet network. This module is also provided with LED indicators that allow user to monitor the operation of each port and overview of the module’s status. These indicators are OK, LAN, SER and STAT. Respectively, LED indicators depict the state of Interface is in, existing traffic on the Transceiver port and Downloader port, and presence of an exception event.
The IC693CMM321 GE Ethernet interface module may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The IC693CMM321 is ideally used with s CPU version 6.50 or higher to achieve full functionality. It may still be used with CPU versions 5.03 to 6.04 however, Ethernet operation is limited to only One (1) SRTP server connection. For configuration, a variety of programming software may be used such as Logicmaster 90-30 version 6.01 or higher, Control Version 2.01 or higher, or VersaPro version 1.0 or higher. All these software applications are installed to a computer.

Placement: Can be installed in any slot of a Series 90-30 baseplate (except slot 1, reserved for the CPU). Up to two modules can be used per system.
Software Configuration: Use Proficy Machine Edition, VersaPro, or Logicmaster 90-30 to assign an IP address and subnet mask.
Requirements: For full functionality, use CPU version 6.50 or higher. Versions 5.03 to 6.04 are limited to one SRTP server connection.
