The IC693MDL240 is a Series 90-30 Discrete Input module formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc, now under Emerson Automation. This module features Sixteen (16) 120 VAC input channels within a single group. It accepts 0-132 VAC input voltage range and input current of 12 mA. This module has backplane current draw of 90 mA.

LED indicators which provide the ON/OFF status of each point are located at the top of themodule. This LED block has two horizontal rows with eight green LEDs in each row; the toprow labeled A1 through 8 (points 1 through 8) and the bottom row labeled B1 through 8 (points9 through 16). An insert goes between the inside and outside surface of the hinged door. Thesurface towards the inside of the module (when the hinged door is closed) has circuit wiringinformation, and circuit identification information can be recorded on the outside surface. Theoutside left edge of the insert is color-coded red to indicate a high-voltage module. Thismodule can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5 or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLCsystem.

For High-Speed Sensing: The MDL240 has a maximum response time of 30ms to 45ms. If your application requires faster detection, a DC module like the IC693MDL646 with a 1ms filter is more appropriate.
