This module includes two serial ports that can be configured as either RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485, facilitating diverse communication setups. With a power consumption of 1 ampere, it fits into a single slot, making it suitable for rack mounting.
For enhanced capabilities, optional expansion memory can be added, allowing up to 512 kilobytes of additional capacity. Local status is indicated with three LED lights, providing straightforward visual feedback on operation.
Status Indicators (LEDs): The module features three LEDs that provide immediate visual feedback on the module's "OK" status and the activity of its two serial ports.
Real-Time Clock Synchronization: It contains a real-time calendar clock that synchronizes with the PLC CPU, ensuring that all time-stamped data and logged events are accurate for forensic troubleshooting.
Reset & Restart Control: A single pushbutton on the module allows for controlled restarts:
Short Press (<5 sec): Restarts the current application.
Long Press (>5 sec): Resets the module to factory default settings to restore communication if a software lockup occurs, without clearing the memory
