Each port can be configured for MODBUS Master, MODBUS Slave, orSerial I/O protocol. In addition, for modules that are version 1.10 orlater, each port can be configured for CCM Slave protocol usingProficy Machine Edition 5.6, SIM 6 or later. For modules that areversion 1.20 or later, each port can be configured for DNP3 Master orDNP3 Slave protocol using Machine Edition 5.6 SIM 10 or later. If anyport is configured for DNP3 Master or Slave, the other ports on themodule can only be configured for DNP3 Master or Slave.
Watchdog Timer: Monitors module operation; the "Module OK" LED blinks once if the watchdog expires.
Memory Fault Detection: Detects and reports internal RAM or Flash memory failures (indicated by specific LED blink patterns).
Communication Health: Monitors the CPU Heartbeat; failure to receive this signal will trigger a local error.
Configuration Validation: Automatically checks for an invalid CPU configuration and reports it to prevent improper operation.
