The IC695PNS001CA-ABAH is a Profinet scanner module that is manufactured by GE Fanuc / Emerson Automation. This module is a single slot wide module, that is used to manage Profinet connections such as communicating to remote I/O devices residing in universal I/O backplanes, whether Series 90-30 or RX3i modules; Sending I/O data through the Profinet network to the partner CPUs in the network; Communicate with Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and other similar automation components.

The PNS manages PROFINET communication and module configurationbetween an I/O Controller and modules in the remote rack. If networkcommunications are lost, the PNS manages I/O states according to the individualmodule configurations.The PNS supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Copper, 100/1000 Mbps Multi-mode Fiber,and 100/1000 Mbps Single-mode Fiber. PROFINET communications on thenetwork require 100 or 1000 Mbps link speed. Although 10 Mbps cannot be usedfor PROFINET communications, 10 Mbps can be used for other types of Ethernettraffic such as PING.
