The IC695CMU310 Max-ON Hot-Standby Redundancy CPU is an RX3i Series CPU from GE Fanuc. It comes with a single slot design, 1 Amp of power requirements at 5 Volts DC, and 2 communication ports. It weighs 1 pound. The IC695CMU310 CPU module is an RX3i PacSystems Max-ON CPU and a Hot-Standby redundancy CPU made by GE Fanuc. It is made to communicate data through dedicated Ethernet LANs. This module must be connected with an RX3i universal backplane, Ethernet modules, Series 90-30 expansion backplanes, PacSystems devices, and the Max-On software to build a complete RX3i system application. The GE IC695CMU310 Max-ON Hot-Standby Redundancy CPU has up to 10 MB of battery-backed RAM as the program storage. The typical Boolean execution speed of this module is 0.195 milliseconds per 100 Boolean contacts or coils. It offers 2 embedded serial communication ports that are the RS-232 serial communication port and the RS-485 serial communication port.

Max-ON redundancy applications include fuel loading,standby power generation, boiler systems, andmanufacturing systems. The proprietary Max-ON softwareprovides subroutines for synchronization of variables,program equivalence testing, selection of master CPU,and diagnostics. When using Max-ON redundancy,transfer of control from the Master to the Backup can taketwo to three CPU logic scans. I/O states are maintainedduring the transfer. Max-ON redundancy is not suitable forSIL 2 or 3 applications.
Password Protection: Software passwords can be used to lock program and configuration data, preventing unauthorized modifications.
 
OEM Protection: Revision 6.01 (IC695CMU310-DN) introduced specific OEM protection for flash-based systems that do not use a battery, safeguarding intellectual property stored in non-volatile memory.
