It can serve as the main power supply when mounted on the station’s NIU or CPU module. Expanded 3.3V Output: While all modules provide a total of 1.5A to the backplane, the "Expanded" models (PWR002, PWR012, PWR102) can dedicate up to 1.0A of that total specifically to the 3.3V rail. This is necessary for larger systems or specific high-draw modules that require more 3.3V power than the standard 0.25A.
AC vs. DC Input: The PWR001 through PWR012 are DC-powered (nominally 24VDC), suitable for battery-backed or field-powered applications. The PWR101 and PWR102 are AC-powered (120/240VAC), ideal for plant-wide power integration.
Isolation: The "Isolated" versions (PWR011, PWR012) provide electrical isolation between the input power and the internal PLC backplane logic, which is critical in electrically "noisy" environments to prevent equipment damage.
