HIMA K1409 is a 5 HU (5U) 19-inch safety system subrack designed for the H41q-HS and H41q-HRS safety control systems. The subrack provides the physical chassis and backplane infrastructure for redundant central modules, redundant power supply, safety I/O modules, and optional communication and coprocessor modules.

The K1409 subrack is available in two configurations. The H41q-HS/B 4237-1 features a single channel bus with redundant central modules. The H41q-HRS/B 4237-2 features a fully redundant bus architecture with redundant central modules, providing higher availability for critical safety applications.

The subrack includes four integrated cooling fans with redundant operation and monitoring. The power supply accepts 24 V DC input and generates 5 V DC for internal module operation, with redundant power supply modules ensuring continuous operation in the event of a primary supply failure.
