The CSN Series of closed loop current sensors are based on the principles of the Magnetoresistive or Hall effects, and the null balance or zero magnetic flux method (feedback system). The magnetic flux in the sensor core is constantly controlled at zero.
The amount of current required to balance zero flux is the measure of the primary current flowing through the conductor, multiplied by the ratio of the primary to secondary windings.

Primary Conductor: Pass the conductor to be measured through the central aperture (iris). For optimal accuracy, ensure the conductor is centered and keep a minimum distance of 5 mm from the sensor body to allow for heat dissipation.
Orientation: The sensor can be mounted in any orientation. Use the integrated mounting holes for screw attachment to a panel or bracket.
Separation: Maintain at least 1 inch (25 mm) of space between the sensor and other magnetic components like contactors or transformers to avoid interference.
