The NCM is compatible with the IEEE802.3 electrical interface and operatesat 10 megabits per second. The NCMconnects with external host computersby means of coaxial cable (RG58) attypical distances up to 607 feet (185meters). Distances up to 2.5 miles(4,000 meters) are possible usingrepeaters and standard (thick-net orfiber-optic) cabling.

Power Off (Recommended): While the Tricon supports hot-swapping, turning the chassis off or switching the Main Processor keyswitch to Program or Remote is recommended during comms module installation.
Align the Module: Carefully align the 4329G with the guide rails in the appropriate chassis slot.Insert and Secure: Push the module firmly into the backplane connectors. Tighten the captive screws at the top and bottom of the faceplate to ground and secure it.
